POLICIES & PROCEDURESADMINISTRATION - The Presley Tour Committee will have sole discretion in governing and directing of tournament events. The committee will be responsible for making rulings, monitoring pace of play, providing assistance, etc. The committee has authority to assess penalty strokes for slow play and/or rules infractions. The decisions of the committee are final and not subject to review or appeal. ELIGIBILITY - Any golfer, male or female who on the day of the tournament has attained the age of 55, is eligible for membership on the tour. Currently we are offering special exemptions and invitations to some golfers who have not yet reached the minimum age requirements. Future plans include adding a division open to all golfers 18 years and older. All golfers must have a USGA approved handicap or other verifiable handicap. Monitoring of handicaps will be strictly enforced. MEMBERSHIP - A player may play in their first tournament as a non-member; thereafter membership will be required to play in all future tournaments. Please be advised that the Tour may offer one or more Invitational Only tournaments during the course of a calendar year. An introductory offer of $25 for players with email access or $35 without email access is being made for the calendar year ending December 31, 2008. TOURNAMENT FEES - Entry fees will include green fee, shared cart, and a nominal gift. Additionally we offer betting pools comprised of 1) Gross and Net skins, 2) Blind Draw 2-Man Team, 3) Birdies, and, 4) Rabbits and Squirrels. The information sheet will provide the details regarding the various pools. TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION - You can register by contacting us by email at egp1934@comcast.net or by fax at 510-451-3220. Your paid entry must be received or postmarked at least 10 days prior to the tournament date. Players must personally check in at the registration area at least 30 minutes prior to the first starting time. Players late for their assigned tee times will be assessed a two stroke penalty in accordance with USGA rules. CANCELLATIONS - The Tour has certain financial obligations to the golf course, consequently, penalties will be assessed on cancellation less than 72 hours prior to the tournament date and time. Depending on our obligation to the course, penalties will range from $20 to $50. A “no show” on the day of the tournament will be charged a fixed penalty of $75. RETURNED CHECKS - The Presley Tour will charge a $25 fee for any check or other item returned unpaid. FORMAT- All tournaments will be individual stroke play with a maximum handicap of 18 or one stroke per hole. Tournament play will be governed by USGA rules unless modified by either local rules or committee rules required to adapt to current conditions, i.e. weather, course conditions, etc. Rules and other pertinent information will be communicated to each golfer at all tournament events prior to the first starting time. SCORECARDS - Each player is responsible for his or her scorecard. Each scorecard must have two signatures, one by the scorer and attested to by the player. The player’s scorecard must be turned into the Tournament Committee within 30 minutes after completion of play or risk disqualification from the competition. ATTIRE - Tournament players must adhere to the dress code required by the golf course played. Each course may have different requirements, but, as a general rule, shirts without collars, jeans, denims, sweat pants or cut-off shorts are not permitted. CONDUCT - Tournament players are expected to observe golf etiquette during the competition. No club throwing, vulgar language, verbal abuse of Tournament Officials, alcohol or drug abuse, etc. will be allowed. Additionally, please use discretion when using cell phones, radios, and beepers, etc., so as not to disturb fellow competitors.
